Siemon Presenting on Advanced Cabling Systems and Power Over Ethernet at BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition

Watertown, CT - Siemon, a leading global network infrastructure specialist, today announced that it is bringing its extensive expertise to the upcoming BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition, delivering two educational presentations on advanced cabling systems for today’s intelligent buildings and superior support of power over Ethernet (PoE).
On Monday, September 10 from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m., Dave Valentukonis, Siemon’s North American Technical Services Manager, along with Fluke Networks, Cisco and Axis Communications, will be presenting “Four Pair PoE: Powering the Future of Intelligent Buildings and the Internet of Things (IoT).” The presentation will take an in-depth look at how PoE provides new capabilities and experiences for users, and the new requirements affecting cabling design, installation and testing.
On Thursday, September 13 from 8:30 - 9:15 a.m., Dave Valentukonis, along with Bob Allan, Siemon’s Global Business Development Manager for Intelligent Buildings, and Innovative Lighting will present “PoE Lighting: Unleashing IoT and Opportunity in the ICT Industry.” This presentation will focus on the predicated growth of PoE lighting systems over the next five years and how PoE lighting can be controlled, monitored and powered via structured cabling.
